In all honesty I found it to be inferior to the original, it mostly centered around some older son that didin't appear the first one. Sonny was just trying to convince the other gang leader to kill the other one who he suspected killed Nig while Jake was attempting to talk him out of it. But seeing him risking his own life to save his son at the end really made the film, that "I'm not gonna loose you, I've had enough" line was quite a superb moment.

Yeah the ending sort of just came out of nowhere, felt like there something that needed to be tied off, the line was good and fit well but there were some demons that needed settling
shareWhile the ending is pretty much rushed, it's still rather rewarding seeing Jake try to redeem himself by saving his family and realizing that's the only thing he has to offer in this world.
Don't get me wrong though, I like the original one as well.
