The Zoolander Effect

I have to say that I see references to this film in almost every tv-series or movie that I see these days.
For example yesterday I watched the film again and watched it thinking it could be an episode of Dexter. The Relax-scene could be Dexter and his victim where "Dexter" = Mugatu is doing strange hypnotic work on some poor model dude to get him to strangely avenge the slave work that Maleysia makes children do.
I couldn't stop laughing when I watched it thinking it is a Dexter "kill scene" with a twist.
I also think that the Relax-scene has actually hypnotized myself and that I see many things in life through the Zoolander effect. I just realized it was 10 years ago that I first saw the film and that I have seen it maybe 20 - 30 times since.
What a strange thing that this film has such an effect on a seemingly normal Scandinavian woman!
