The ones that are whacky, absurd (perhaps) and generally lots of fun. No slipping into dramatic territory in the third act or overly 'dark' moments, not trying to be 'edgy' or 'progressive.' Just all round entertainment and full of laughs. I also think "Dodgeball" falls into this category, and "Rat Race."
Sometimes you just need a really good laugh in life, y'know? Films like this serve this purpose for me.

Totally agree, I think movies like Zoolander, Austin Powers, Wayne's World, and Dude Wheres my Car all kind of follow that sort of juvenile humor that incorporates slapstick, puns, and running gags. Heavyweights is another one and it happens to be one of my favorite comedies of all time, Stiller is absolutely hilarious in it.
I wish they still made movies like this, but it seems like these days comedies are all rated R, and go for shock humor, or swearing their heads off in an attempt to be funny. I like Slapstick, goofball comedies, but they're pretty much dead in this day and age. I blame movies like Superbad and The Hangover. It seems like EVERY SINGLE COMEDY that is released these days tries to compare itself to one of those two movies. Hangover was okay, kind of funny, but i flat out hated Superbad, totally unfunny and extremely annoying protagonists.
