Ending (spoilers)

I don't know if it's true but at the end the 'happy ending' is that Erin gets even more money than she expected as a cut of the clients' award.
This didn't seem a happy ending to me because they amount she got was obscene and obviously means that the clients got less!
I'm not saying she shouldn't have been paid but it sounded too much (can't remember the exact amount)
Anyone else think that it spoiled it a little?

It was a 2 million dollar bonus from her boss, it came out of the firm's money, not what any of the clients (after the 40%).

The law firm got 40% (about $133 million), it was up to Ed how much of that money he gave to Erin. The money was at the firm already, she didn't take it out of the clients payout. Plus it's a relatively tiny amount, less than 1% of the total payout and less than 2% of Masry and Vittitoe's fee.
