Erin Brockovich 2012

A sad new Erin Brockovich movie script being written. I was hoping there wouldn't be any new material for a movie like this, but there is...

You think there has been only two such stories in over 10 years?
The only thing that saddens me about this is the fact they are thinking of making a "sequel" which will only be a clone of the first movie with another name. Julia Roberts is that desperate? She doesn't really think there's another Oscar at the end of this for her, right? Because the Academy is stupid but not that stupid.

Of course not. But I do follow what power companies are up to. That story was the closest I've seen to the original plot, but I do know of others, as well as what the Mining Industries are up to as well.

NOT Defending Julia Robert's choices, that sometimes do allude me. However, IMHO, producing more current stories of abuse and corruption in America would not be a bad thing, yeah. On your sequel point, I think it's better for actors to concentrate on the best roles offered, while always trying to strive for excellence at the craft they've chosen. If you're good at it and love your work, the rest will fall into place as it should, regardless of a person's 'star status'.
