Beth and the can opener scene - disturbing

Did anyone else think the little girl's hand was gonna get accidentally shredded by the can opener? My heart was in my throat...and speaking of child (baby) actors, she was 1) seated on the kitchen counter 2) next to someone using a sharp instrument. What parents would allow their toddler to act in such a dangerous scene? Did this disturb anyone else?

I thought the same thing. Besides, she was so close to the edge of the counter, I would be afraid that one tip and she would fall and break her neck. The baby would have been about a year old, still in diapers at least. There are so many horror stories about babies rolling off tables in the seconds you take their eyes off them.

Imagine for a moment just how many pairs of eyes were on the actors in that scene, including one person whose whole job was nothing but watching the baby. The child was probably safer there than at home.

What I mean is - I as a parent would not seat my child on the counter next to a stove or a knife or glasses or on a high surface. Not the acting. They should have picked a scene like her feeding the baby in a high chair or maybe playing with the kids' new set of blocks.

Or old set of blox. Agree, but I assume they were trying to show how busy and harried she was and having to multitask. Keanu would be playing with her.

Are you for real?
There was absolutely zero real danger in that scene (which lasted for all of three seconds.) Your acting like the baby was doing handstands at the top of a flight of concrete stairs. Any kids you have, must live pretty sheltered lives. If your "heart was in your throat" at seeing a child sat within 3 feet of a can-opener.

I've probably just been hooked in by a faux-outrage comment...
But still- "disturbing" ??? - Please, you're being ridiculous.
