One Thing That Surprised Me

I started watching this on Netflix recently because it was the show that spawned future stars like Franco and Rogen. I expected them to be the focus of the show.

However, I felt the geeks were the stars of the show, and that their characters were better fleshed out and they had better storylines.

Of the freaks, I think Nick got the best storylines- Daniel felt always kind of distant to me, and Ken's character didn't have much to do until the last couple of episodes.

Anyone else feel the same?

I don't know about their storylines, but the freaks were always funnier to me. And I loved Nick. The best geek to me was Bill. Neil and Sam had their moments but a lot of the time I was feeling some serious deja vu induced cringe when they did stuff. I think the fact that they were more reluctant to hold onto their geekiness really made them less likeable, unlike Bill, although he could be a jerk sometimes.
