OK I just binge-watched these again over the weekend.
It's only the second time I've seen them, so may have missed stuff, but...

There was gossip about Kim being pregnant... someone saw her at a clinic or something(?) but they didn't expand on that storyline at all.

Kim turned the bitch dial up to 11 for an episode or two around then, but we never got to find out what the deal was, did we?

Was it just gossip?
Was it being saved up for the Season 2 that never was?
Did I just miss a part where the whole thing got sorted out?

Seems like a bit of a big storyline to just get left hanging. Especially for a show where seemingly far less important plot threads were fully mined and resolved. This seemed like a bit of a glaring omission to me.

You didn't miss anything. It was never mentioned before or after that scene. It seemed to simply be gossip and nothing more. I believe that was put in the scene just to show how petty, catty and bitchy Lindsay's former friends are. In a sense they aren't any better than Kim just because they were mathletes or nerds and I also think this was supposed to make us have a little sympathy for Kim in a way. By that point we had seen a little more to her than just her bullying, bitchy side and Lindsay obviously didn't like that the girls were talking about her that way and I don't think the audience is supposed to like it either.

Additionally, I think all that was factual was that someone saw Kim at the free clinic--the part about her being pregnant was simply Shelly jumping to a pretty big conclusion, like to Shelly the ONLY reason a girl would be at the free clinic would be to have an abortion when in reality there are several reasons someone may go to a free clinic--including birth control such as pills or something which I think is more likely the reason Kim was there.

Kim was an awesome character. Her family life was disfunctional, which made her guarded. Lindsay liked her anyway, and Kim took to Lindsay because she had the family Kim longed for. A pregnancy storyline would have been great.

Gotta say I agree.
So much potential for the character and all those around her. Perfectly in keeping with the rest of the show too.
And the Biz is such a wonderful actress she could totally pull it off. I'd love to have seen where she took it (no pun).
