New commentary...

Hear me out...admittedly I just want new commentary because I think it would be amazingly entertaining. (I'm selfish) The initial commentary tracks are funny, insightful, detailed, and gave a great perspective of the writers, actors, directors, and creators. That being said, those tracks were recorded before the Apatow boom. Whether you are a hardcore fan or a peripheral viewer, it must be known that the 'Freaks' and the 'Geeks' all went on to amazing careers in film and television. I don't know what else they could add to a new commentary, but it would be awesome to hear an in-depth analysis of the show after nearly 20 years and new experiences. If not new commentary, a two hour 'where are they now' film for all of the characters would be outstanding....a girl can dream.

Have you seen the Vanity Fair comedy issue that Judd Apatow put together? I think it was 2013. It's amazing. They basically gave him an issue to do whatever he wanted. He interviewed a lot of his comedy heroes, told stories, and there was a chunk devoted to an updated oral history of Freaks and Geeks. Good stuff!

Thanks. That was an excellent read! I hadn't seen it before. I love how they ended with Harris. That felt very appropriate.
