Linda Cordellini and James Franco are about to be expelled from school at the end of Episode 5, Linda just starts laughing like a maniac, cut, credits, next episode starts and it isn't mentioned. I wanna know why they did not get expelled!
shareWell, I don't remember a possible punishment being discussed. Daniel says he will get expelled and Lindsay will get a slap on the wrist, but then again he's trying to manipulate her. So maybe they were given a more lenient punishment.

Before reading the diary, her parents are debating whether they should indeed read the diary and her Dad mentions that he can't trust her due to 'the copying incident when she claimed that she was not lying but nearly got expelled for it'.
