Watching this on Netflix right now
I'm loving this show. Where the *beep* was this when I was growing up? Wasn't mainstream enough for it to come out of the US? I remember that trash Dawson's Creek was on TV though.

shareI was flipping through Netflix and saw the title. So I have nothing to lose and watched it. Now I love the 70s show but wow this is so much closer to what it was like for me in high school. It really sucks it was canceled.
shareIm watching right now...
And i love Dawsons Creek
I remember an observation about the very first scene of the first episode. It opened with a very stereotypical attractive couple(quarterback and, what else, a cheerleader)sitting atop the bleachers, having an insipid conversation. The camera panned down to below the bleachers where the freaks were engaged in a heated debate. The observer compared the too perfect couple to the types of actors you would see playing "typical" high school teenagers. On the other hand the students below the stands were more true to what you would find in a real high school. In fact, that was one of the problems with F&G. Many viewers reported the series was so realistic it brought back too many painful memories,
