Not just the dancing babies and fires from hell, but the show was created by a noted soap writer. The show had an excellent backbone, a great story from the start, the Cranes, Lopez-Fitgeralds, Teresa and Ethan, hell even the magic kind of made sense. But the scripts were terrible, the actors were mostly awful and the direction is not very good. What happened? Did Reilly just hire the wrong crew? This show had so much potential.

It was more interesting than most daytime soaps.

The show was really at its best even though it lagged from the beginning up until around 2006. There were times when the show actually had some great and very memorable moments outside of the offbeat humor. But I have to agree during its heyday it was WAY better than the highest rated soap Y&R and this coming from a Y&R fan.
