The only good part of this movie was the ending (*spoiler*)
So I watched this whole movie on YouTube today and I was pretty dissapointed for the most part. I really liked the first one. I thought the concept of the victims' deaths being based on urban legends was inventive and interesting (and how about that ending? Brenda? THE KILLER? Bet no one saw that coming, haha!). However, I thought it was kinda cool that the director had Rebecca Gayheart resume her role as Brenda who was now a nurse at the psych ward. And the Alfred Hitchcock theme at the end while she pushes his wheelchair. Another minor plus was Eva Mendes' death. Even though it had nothing to do with a UL, I kinda liked that her death was she was hung and used as the bell ringer.
Everything else about this was kinda stupid. To start with, in the first one everybody's death scene was based on an urban legend. With the acception of the kidney heist, nobody in Urban Legends: Final Cut has a death scene based on a UL! And in my opinion, that's kind of a problem. Otherwise, why does the title even have "Urban Legends" in it??? I wasn't expecting a Scorsesi masterpiece but I think they could have at least been a lot more creative with the deaths. And I didn't think any of the characters were interesting or entertaining either. In the first one, at least half of the characters were entertaining or at least likeable. Every character in this, I couldn't care less whether they lived or died. Although I have to admit the main chick in the second one was a lot better than the main chick in the first. Alicia Witt's acting was so painful! She had the exact same facial expression throughout the entire movie!
Anyway, all and all I thought Urban Legends 2: Final Cut wasn't very good. The plot and setting was kinda sloppy and disorganized. Didn't add much to the original story. They would have been better off just leaving the first one alone.
And don't even get me started on Urban Legends: Bloody Mary! Haha!
