I was watching the KKK on the history channel last night and saw the words WAR. Then I thought of this movie, when they are inside the auditorium and they are being branded you see the words "WAR." According to the KKK it stands for White Aryan Resistance...did anybody else pick that up or am I crazy?
shareWhile that is an acronym used by the KKK, the Senator explains to Lucas what WAR's significance is...it's to remind Skulls members that there are always wars to be fought, whether they be personal or global. It's supposed to inspire them to rise to power and grasp control, and so on and so forth.
Plus, they never really act like members of the KKK in the movie...despite the fact that there were no blacks chosen to be members, and seemingly no blacks amongst the established members.

The senator did explain it. He said that the leaders must choose war even in times of peace because wars always need to be fought. There was nothing about the KKK involved.
