I agree with what Shearerm4 said. Plus SPOILERS to follow.
Deus ex Machina was in full use throughout.
The girld friend thing really bothered me too. Tepp is gonna ask her to marry her, she comes at the end and she's giddy like it's a first date, but wait. You didn't answer the intercom? We're through! And then it isn't cleared up? B.S.
Last man standing. Shouldn't have even gotten to the flush draw... Tepp got up to apologize to the old woman whose only purpose in the entire movie is to show Tepp how the money is tearing apart his friends.
There were set ups with no payoffs. The whole scene with the old woman when Tepp first arrives home: she forgot to close her door. Either that should have payed off down the road or that whole scene was unneeded.
The whole Victor/Avery thing is fine. It was explained for the most part - I believe Real Avery said he heard the message on Victor's machine. Not sure why he was in a position to check his messages, but whatever.
From the Trivia section: "On the DVD commentary, Probst states that he and Erik Palladino did not get along and argued frequently".
The arguments probably went something like this: Erik - "Like this would ever happen". Jeff - "Seriously, it'll be cool. They'll never see it coming".
I'm just babbling now, so I will stop there.
