To all you the defends the movies for all the plot-errors i can somewhat understand. But the thing that bugs me the most is why cant he just remove the ticket from the wallet and say he found it like that. End of story! Then the movie is full of small errors or questionable events at least.
The movie was watchable, but not more than that.

I was recomended this movie as I am a enthuastic pokerplayer. Thats a joke.
Even the lottery game dosent have a touch of skill involved. Just std 5 card draw with no betting. Might as well flip a coin. I think most pokerplayers would find some other way of deciding the winner, a game with a bit of skill involved!

Very simple. He replaced the ticket with his own so that Avery wouldn question anything. Was just a quick thinking move. Why not since he knows his own ticket is a loser? He figures Avery looks in, sees a ticket, and hes good to go. Done. Only problem is Avery clearly looks and notices that that ticket isnt his since he apparently plays the same numbers everytime...something Tepper would not have known at the time.

no, seeing the wallet was lost and i knew the lotto ticket was a winning one there is no way i would switch up the tickets. you do that it makes u instantly look sus but if its just not in there whats the guy gonna say f you for finding my wallet and telling me that the money and the lotto ticket are gone. u can't blame him for that and if some guy came to my door and questioned me over a lotto ticket or missing money out of there wallet that i found and called them up to help return "even if i took it" i would slam the door in there face and say "go f yourself!"
