What the....?!! Could someone explain to me why Ryan Reynold's character smashed James Earl Jones' character across the head? I didn't understand the plot.

shareIt was certainly not expected from me anyway and I thought that (for many reasons) if the film was remade because the premise was a good one, this twist could have gone down a different and dark route for a totally different film.
I assume he did it because he had become frustrated so much (divorce/not much contact with his daughter, Fishman pissing him off, knowing the ticket was a winner etc.) but was mostly a quiet character, until he just burst and went a bit crazy lol
