No caffeine in coffee but ok to eat chocolate

She goes for a coffee the first morning and finds only decaff and the guy says well caffeine is a mind altering drug - however, they are allowed all sorts of candy including chocolate (which also has caffeine). And seems also cigarettes are fine - guess nicotine is not considered mind altering.

Decaf has caffeine in it as well. I think regular coffee is discouraged because it is used like a drug. When I was in rehab i would mix the instant decaf and the swiss miss cocoa packets together, and still not get the jolt I was looking for.

No dessert Jerri. Don't touch the dog. DON'T rub your feces on the lamp shade.

I googled it, and you'd have to eat five or six chocolate bars to get the caffeine in a mug of coffee. I think the stomach ache would be more mind altering.

About the smoking thing, they're allowed to smoke. On Celebrity Rehab Dr. Drew said he wished they quit but he can't force them.

I watch this film now and again, and just noticed that they offer iced tea in the dining hall. You can see the machine during Gwen's first meal when the camera cuts to Louden Wainwright singing. Can't see enough detail to know if the tea's decaf too, but unless tea has markedly less caffeine than coffee (which I don't think is the case) this is a slight goof.
