Good movie, but disappointed they didn't wrap up one storyline

I'm sad they didn't bring Gwen and Eddie back together to at elast be on good terms. I really tohught they would end up together, and they didn't even really resolve their storyline. Othe than that it was an enjoyable movie.

It would have been cheesy and unrealistic if that happened...they were both "recovering" the last thing either of them needed was to be in a relationship

Chuck Norris destroyed the periodic table, because he only recognizes the element of surprise.

i thought the same...they each needed time to more fully recover from their addictions.

I know this thread is super old, but I came here intending to post something similar. I LOVE 28 Days, but it always makes me think at the end... "But what about Gwen and Eddie?" I agree, it would be kind of unrealistic for them to 'live happily ever after', but it did feel a little unresolved. I think they did that on purpose, though... we draw our own conclusions about their relationship. Or heck, if they ever even speak to each other again.

That's funny--my husband and I just watched 28 Days, and when it was over, like the very first thing I said was that I liked the way they didn't have her (Gwen) end up with Eddie, like a lot of movies would have done. And my husband said, "Yeah, that would've been really Cheezy".

No. I liked that she was alone and he wasn't seen again. She needed to work on herself and her recovery.

Snakes. Why'd it have to be snakes?

I agree completely. I feel people ask too much put of movies these days, wanting a realistic output yet a story book ending as well. There's no possible way for the viewer to have both. Their likelihood of having a relationship outside of rehab let alone having a fighting chance of sobriety in the event that they do end up together, would have been absolutely impossible. For the sake of argument, the OP should Google the chances of success in the addict's sobriety if they were to comit to a relationship within the first year, then another search for a relationship that begins in rehab... It's extremely low, if ever heard of at all. She'd of had a better chance at staying with Jasper in the sense that at least she was able to expect his behaviors would be self defeating. She needed to be alone, like the above post mentioned, to work on her sobriety and herself.
