When I first saw Mia Kirshner on the Jay Leno Show promoting "Love and Human Remains" way back in 1992/93, I knew she was gonna be a good actress. Of course Miss Swain, gets the attention from most people in this film ("New Best Friend"), but Mia should not be denied her credit. All she needs is that ONE good role to launch her into the stratosphere. In my opinion she deserves it.

Yeah, she's very good ... I guess she's much bigger in Canada than she is in the US, and she has a good cult following here as well. Have you seen "Exotica?" ... Bizarre movie ... I actually *hated* it the first time I saw it, but it's grown on me since. And Mia K. is wonderful in it.

She is a main character on the Showtime Lesbian series The L Word... check her out... Great show... and her character is beyond weird! A lot of the story lines center around her character. You also get to see her naked ;) lol
She was also in Party Monster breifly and the 2d Crow movie. She was great in the latter.

She is really, really tiny in the L Word. It's weird...New Best Friend is the only thing I've seen her look chunky in, everything else she's either been thin to very thin. She looks good either way.

she is great! I love her work mentioned and I also loved her in Not Another Teen Movie. That movie is silly and sometimes stupid, but a great spoof. She plays the cruel intentions/sarah michelle gellar character to a tee!!! lol
shareI just watched this movie and, wow,she plays another tricky/bitchy/intelligent and generally amazing character! Several roles played by Mia simply DARE us to hate her character.
At first sight she seems this innocent,sweet girl..then she just rapidly changes (no "becoming" period included) :-) Now that's a talent! She could trick the devil himself,lol.
Let's just think she's not like this in real life. And then the whole picture makes her an outstanding actress :-)
