Good film, but...


...I really wish Latin American directors in general would refrain from casting Spanish-speaking actors into Portuguese-speaking roles, and vice-versa.

(And yes, I do realize this film is over 20 years old, but since Zama, which is from 2017, actually suffers from the same problem, my point stands.)

Maybe it's just me, but yeah, mutual intelligibility doesn't mean the resulting accents aren't way noticeable and extremely distracting.
