Del Toro totally fucked up the tone of this movie, it felt nothing like the first one. And the make up on the characters looked so obviously fake, like a made for TV movie.

shareThe first film is certainly a better all-around movie. When you break down Blade II's plot, you quickly learn that there really isn't that much to it. The first movie had a far more robust story.
In regard to tone, Blade II is darker and just overall less fun. I remember seeing it when it was first released to theaters and being disappointed, and I just rewatched the movie the first time in probably 20 years and it's still disappointing.
