who else thinks that bringing whistler back ruined it took away the heart of the orginal when he died blade should of killed him like he had to kill his mother and karen should of been the new mentor she should of then been bitten by the reaper and blade carried her out into the sunlight tragedy she invents serum and new weapons for him
shareAs much as I was happy to see Whistler again in Blade 2, I agree with you that he should have officially died. However, Guillermo Del Toro's reason for him being in Blade 2 was that the audience never saw Whistler shoot himself in the original film. For a movie director, he sucks at implications. I would have also have liked to see N'Bushe Wright reprise her role as Karen Jensen as well.

Whistler coming back was the best thing about the movie for me. IMO it was a mistake for Blade 1 to try to kill him off in the 1st place.

Whistler was an even stronger character in this movie. Also If a character is thought dead and turns out to be alive it ruins it for some I guess. But then Whistler in blade 2 made this movie better.
