Things that made the film flawed or ruined it

What happened to Karen from the first Blade?

Karen should of been in this film and had more of a relationship with blade, she should of been the new inventor with weapons and serum hopefully she will return in the fourth film

(While it's never explicitly stated, Blade is seen with a large supply of Serum, in much smaller bottles from the first film. The amount of these he has suggests he does not need to increase his dose - Chances are, once she developed this, Karen left - either to return to a normal life, or to join another group (like the ones in the third film).

How is Whistler alive in this movie if he died in the first?
He should have been a villain a vampire and he has to kill whistler to bring peace to him just like he did his mother

Did you even watch the movie? It explains how Whistler is still alive.

They kept him alive, knowing it would draw Blade to them.

As happy as I was to see Whistler in this movie, he really should not have been in it. I've heard Del Toro's commentary for Whistler being alive in Blade 2 -- because the audience never saw Whistler shoot himself in Blade 1 -- and I disagree with him doing this. My reason is because, according to the DVD commentary of Blade 1, Whistler was to die as a means of passing the vampire-hunting torch to Blade. If anything, I really should be mad at David Goyer for killing Whistler off in Blade 1, "resurrecting" him in Blade 2, and then killing him off AGAIN in an even lamer way in Blade: Trinity.

I also disliked the majority of the CGI in this film. The CGI models used for Blade and Nyssa's fight early on in the film look so phony that they look like they came from one of the early PlayStation 2 video games. While the CGI from Blade 1 shows it age, it still looks light-years better than the CGI in Blade 2, in my humble opinion. As for the story, it was pretty good, but I hated the writing for the Bloodpack. Priest and Snowman got killed off way too early (and Snowman died a really lame death, almost off-screen), Verlaine was virtually useless and also killed off in a lame way, and Chupa and Asad didn't really do anything special. The only useful members of Bloodpack turned out to be Nyssa and Rinehardt. For a tactical squad of vampires specifically trained to take out Blade, they were pretty weak in battle.
