Blade likes the cannabinergy!

After he rescues Whistler he is offered a toke off a joint and he says "later." Obviously implying that he enjoys a good toke.

I like that, it's good to see a hero, or anti-hero that isn't a hard-liner on drugs because the people involved are too scared to show that you are in fact capable of being a proficient badass and still partake in one of the greater medicines on the planet. Since there are thousands of strains with hundreds of different effects, the endocannbinoid system is in every human being and regulates everything in our bodies. There are a lot of unknowns, that's true. But one cliche that isn't true that it will slow your reflexes down on some permanent level, or make you stupid, etc. etc.

Most people who are even halfway informed and have a modicum of honesty can admit that.

Anyway, I just thought that if that line were just meant as a throw-away joke it would have been more tongue-in-cheeky. I think it was meant to show just a hint of a "human side" to Blade's contrast his stark almost Frank Castle-esque personality.

Speaking of, if there were ever a two that deserved an animated, adult (and by adult I mean blood, swearing, and some nudity, ala the Spawn animated series) team-up. It'd make total sense for Punisher to go after some mafioso-styled Vampires, it could take them from NYC to Sicily to Romania, hell, even to Japan. The whole world is their bloody-oyster!

heh..bloody-oyster...

Fanfic here we come!

You're onto something with this idea. I don't really read comics often, but I would definitely read a Blade/Punisher crossover. Funny you should mention mob vampires, because in Blade: The Series from a few years back, the vampire houses were ran like mafia families.
