Plot hole with Nomak

Nomak is a pureblood vampire he was born a vampire. based on this fact he couldn't have been born in the 20th century this must mean that the vampire race has had technology for centuries the reason being is that it states in canon material that vampires age at such a slow rate that a pure blood vampire who is hundreds of years old will still look like a child case in point Charlotte who on the tv show(canon material) is several hundred years old

because of this any pure blood vampire that appears to be a fully grown adult would in fact be an ancient vampire with the exception of blade who ages slower than normal humans but not as slow as full blood vampires
