'Can You Blush' Question

I understand what it meant when Reinhardt said it, but why would Blade say it after he killed him?

Blade asks him "Can you blush?" BEFORE he throws the sword in the air to catch it and cut him in half. There's much interpretation in this line, but I think it was meant as a racist comment to Blade when Rinehardt said it the first time. Blade being a half breed and warm blooded-(u see him show up red and the vampires blue when Whistler looks thru his scope to see them in the club scene.)-can blush. They won't see it tho, bcuz he's African American. A pure blood vampire CAN'T blush, they're dead. Lol.

And according to Del Toro on the commentary Reinhardt is supposed to be a neo-nazi skinhead, so his 'can you blush?' question definitely is meant to be racist.

When Wesley Snipes was in Europe promoting, someone actually said that to him. David Goyer overheard Wesley telling the story and wrote it in to the script for confrontation between the two. The comment is suppose to poke fun at Snipe's exceedingly dark skin color.

I always thought it was an insult to Blade bring black and let's the audience know Reinhardt is a racist...plus the name itself.
I never connected it to blade as a half human might have blood go to his cheeks.

Can be seen as either an insult to his skin color, or the fact the he's half human (humans have blood, and can blush).

However, not such a good insult to start with. I wouldn't ever want to be able to blush lol.

Aside from payback for the rascist crack, Blade said it because he was just about to humiliate the dude by disarming him then slicing him in half

No one answers your question. Reinhardts double-entendre made sense. When Blade said it,it made no God damn sense.....so nonsensical. He knows Reinhardt CAN`T. Sorta like in TDKR,when Selina Kyle is confronted by those two dorks and one says about her boots-"Is it hard to walk in those?",She kicks him in the head and says,hehe-"I don´t know....IS IT??" That´s how retarded it was.A braindead callback.
