Last night this wonderful movie, starring my ALL TIME favorite actors, was on TNT and me and my Mom and Dad watched it for the gazillionth time. This has been an on going...fued, I guess, between me and Mama...did Loren Dean's character, Ethan...did he get killed or was he just knocked out? I think he was just knocked out...but my thick headed Mama says "No way he could have lived through that!" Sure there is...does anyone know?

Although your mother is correct in that he probably wouldn't have survived the impact, he did in the movie. He is shown ejecting with Jerry's help.
