What do they mean by Yahoo? Did Gordo had to do anything with the navigators?

At the beginning, Gordo mentions that Yahoo jumped 10 points today, or soemthing like that, referring to the stock price. And John replies "woulda, coulda, shoulda pal" So if you had the foresight to buy Yahoo stock in the IPO (Initial Public Offering), you would be a rich man. Cut to the 'Santa Claus'
scene where John tells the young Gordo, "Yahoo". The payoff at the end is Gordo ends up with a Mecerdes-Benz, vanity plate Yahoo-1.

Wow good call oregon-5. I thought it was just a random word, but you are totally right, I forgot about that part at the beginning.
