Very good movie, but it gives off a bad lesson

What's done is done. You can't change the past, no matter how hard you try. Those who challenge what is destined will always be met with disappointment. It's important to remember, but also to let go.

or in other words...

You're right. Next time we're all faced with changing the past we should make sure not too.

LMFAO

You have enemies? Good. That means you’ve stood up for something, sometime in your life.

Lostzilla,

you do realise that this film was a work of fiction? Do you?

reply

Noted. But it gives people the notion that the past can be changed and that is certainly not true, what's done is done.

It in no way does it do that. This is akin to saying that Back to the Future makes people think that driving 88 MPH in a Delorian will make you go back in time or that getting bit by a radioactive spider can give you superpowers like in Spiderman.

You're retarded.

You have nothing to base that on.

This thread, your posts, are plenty.

i suppose what he means is that it goes against all we have learned in the time travel genre, i.e. butterfly effect... but there really was at least one consequence i can think of to them changing the past, that one girl was killed, who knows if she was one of the original 3. also someone didnt get rich on yahoo cuz gordo did, and im sure young jim caviezel must have been traumatized at seeing that guy almost kill his mom and dad and him. ooh and there probably is so many more things that changed because of the tempering with the past, but they really weren't relevant to the story.

I wouldn't be so sure about that.
