doesn't make sense at all

It doesn't make sense when the father changes the past 2 hours after a conversation that the future (or the now) changes not until after those same two hours (after the last conversation).

Example: when the father saves the kid in the fire, the whole future gets altered, including the murder of his wife (which happens a week after the fire).
In the now, the wife is instantly dead (the mother vanishes instantly although she should have been alive for 7 more days until the murderer kills her in the past)So either the now should be altered at the exact moment where the son gives a prediction to the father or all the events in the now should only alter parallel to the timeline in the past (which would prevent any possibility to predict of course)

I don't know how to express myself better, but hope you still get what I try to point out...

Apart from that I liked the movie btw... 6/10

First there would be no movie that way and why would it, the father is in the past its the past, the son is in the future so everything that happens before already happened no matter when if he for example didn't know how to swim in the previous timeline now that he saved his father he suddenly does cause at some point the father taught him. Also I assume the reason is that he can only connect to the past when the whacyamacallit in the sky so when he connects to the past is dictated by it. Also the simpler explanation is that everything happens that way only because the father is given a set of things to do not the whole future so we can assume the rest of the times he carries on the way he wants to and that alters the future, for example when his life was saved he went to see his wife, on his own accord.

You're right. This movie is a lot of fun, and especially great for fathers and sons to watch together. But when you start to think about it, the logic involved is completely bizarre.

This movie is ALL suspension of disbelief, but it shows how creative people are, how imaginative a film one can make, based on pure emotion... a touching, beautiful little movie...

Don't overthink this one.

Hmm... I haven't seen the movie in a while but based on your description, I would say that it was the father making the conscious decision to change what he did that actually caused the future to change, and not his son warning him.

Supermodels...spoiled stupid little stick figures mit poofy lips who sink only about zemselves.
