shareI think it's because John told him to be extremely mindful of how he should handle the wallet so not to get his fingerprints on there or wipe away the killers prints, plus, it was all fast, quick, in the moment, adrenaline, they're both nervous due to what's at stake (Julia's life), Frank already knows first hand that it is Johnny he's talking to, and they both already jointly did things that changed time, etc, so he prob figures if he says this will prevent my wife from dying, I don't give a damn about the contents of wallet as they can be replaced.
shareWho's to say that he didn't empty it? He had the next 30 years to go back to that hiding spot and very carefully take anything out of the wallet that he needed before putting it back.
