There should be a new adaptation of Battlefield Earth that gets the movie right this time. A new movie or series of movies could be to this film what the new Dune movies are to the 1984 Dune, which similarly has been criticized as a terrible scifi movie adaptation.

Yes! I actually listened to the full-cast audiobook of Battlefield Earth recently, and it definitely would make an incredible movie or series of movies if done correctly like the new Dune movies. The book could be easily split into two or three movies since there are multiple points where the parts of the story have clear divisions. Also it ends with a nice epilogue to allow for future stories if an author or filmmaker were to continue to make more books/films beyond the Battlefield Earth book itself.
