I don't agree with anything else Hubbard does, but the book was good.
I red the book long before the movie came out.
Ran into the first part in a bookstore on a train station when looking for something to read on a long train trip, found it really good.
Due to the author being the head of scientology I had a real hard time finding the other two parts of the book but eventually got them and I did like the whole story a lot.
The movie on the other hand was plain junk, very badly made, not a shred of the atmosphere from the book made it into the movie.
