i actually enjoy watching this movie

its infamous status is deserved in many ways -- the horrible costumes/make-up, bad acting, bad dialogue, ridiculous plot devices -- but even so, there's just something about it, a certain us against them aspect i really enjoy.

barry pepper was great, and the actual story/plot is pretty good. i love the finale. it's just bogged down by some atrocious acting by travolta and the looks of the psychlos was ridiculous. too many dutch angles, and it's just an aggressively ugly movie, too.

but i don't think it's a 2.8 movie or whatever. in reality, somewhere in the 5-6 range. a pretty fun way to spend 2 hours, even if it's equal parts legit enjoyments and mst3k kind of way
