Does anyone else remember a scene ( I think it was around the time they were training them to mine the gold) Where they argued wether or not man-animals could fly , and they threw one of them off a cliff? I think I remember it from in theaters , but It wasn't on the DVD or a deleted scene.
shareNever saw this in theaters myself, but I do believe one scene was replaced with another for the home media release. That might very well have been the scene to go.

Just watched it on HBO last night and that scene was there and I have never seen it before. I'm not sure what version this represents but I have only seen Battlefield Earth on cable.
shareYES! omg, I was just thinking of that line. it made me and my friends crack up in the theatre and was a line we spent all summer quoting. once it came out on DVD, I watched it and it wasn't there. I've spent the last decade thinking I was going crazy.

that sounds about right. Not too often I recall something when I saw it in theater get cut for the DVD, and apparently nowhere else. I'll have to look for that HBO/re release version sometime
