New Blood

I am a huge WCW fan, but the best I could catch up on it at the time was by watching WCW Worldwide on Channel5. I missed out on lots of important things, and I missed alot of the storylines involving the New Blood.
Could anyone tell me what actually happened to that storyline? What ended it?

Cheers :D

i personally thought the new blood idea could have been good, if it had less members. if i remember correctly there was like 15+ guys in the "new blood." i think it should have been like 3-4 at the max. just some fresh guys that hd never gotten any good pushes, but really did deserve em. WWE modified this idea later on with evolution (but they did it better), which was in my opinion, the best stable they made since the original dx.

Mitchell. Smokey is way more intense in person!

Perhaps the only good thing to come out of the new Blood angle were the feuds:

Flair and the Franchise is a dream feud. (to me at least)

Vampiro & Sting, another good feud.

Its the only time someone like Hogan would ever feud with someone like Kidman.

The Hennig/Stasiak and the Total Package/Palumbo feuds stand out as well.

Those feuds could have been better if they werent overshadowed by the New Blood/Millionaires angle.

I now have every nitro from 2000 on dvd, and I'm in the middle of watching the new blood angle.
I have to say, it isnt too bad, these feuds were pretty good in my opinion, espicially sting and vampiro.

its a difficult one The New Blood because it was a great idea and had good intentions, such as the chance for the younger stars to work with the veterans and get over but one problem i had was that it was suggested somewhere The new blood were faces and thats understandable because from their point of view the older stars have selfishly hogged the spotlight with their wealth and held them back however the fact that the new blood were always cheating to win matches made them the heels in my book. But the fueds were great. Just watched spring stampede again today and that was actually a very entertaining ppv. Sting and vampiro were great but i hate what they did with Sting's character. When the NWO started they were more established stars and Sting would take on about 8 at once but suddenly when the new blood started he would have his ass kicked by about 3 rookies. Its funny cos at the time i was a huge sting fan so i hated vampiro, especially the time when vampiro had a shower of red liquid fall on Sting from the ceiling and then hit the nail in the coffin and suspended him from the ceiling and the fact that vampiro won the torch match, however i have recently got some respect for vampiro so i'm rewatching the fued but i'm now on vampiro's side. I guess that proves what a great job they did.
