TBS had reruns of Mama's Family on around 6:00 AM. Ion, which is a network most people don't have, picked it up and gave it an evening timeslot resulting in good ratings. I remember TBS having reruns of Three's Company on early in the morning, until Nick @ Nite/TV Land picked it up and gave it a better timeslot. Kevin Nash said how those networks would put millions of dollars into a project that would be lucky to get a fraction of the ratings WCW got. Mortal Kombat Conquest is one of my favorite shows ever, it aired on TNT but was canceled for being too popular. They didn't follow on the show's popularity, not even with a TV special to conclude the show or a wider DVD releae. That says enough about how those networks were ran.
Aside from those Gilligan's Island reality shows, and occasional movies by Seagal or Martin Lawrence, I've rarely watched TBS & TNT since 2001. They used to show Van Damme movies often. They had fun specials like Movies For Guys Who Like Movies, Dinner & A Movie, Monstervision. At one point there was either a Tuesday Nitro or a Friday Nitro (I forgot which one), which was basically airing movies, similar to those USA Up All Night marathons.
Reboot, restart or re-imagining is another word for remake
