What If Eric Bischoff Didn't Take Over WCW?

Bischoff, even for his "ATM Eric" reputation and some huge *beep* like the KISS Demon debacle, did a good job with a number of things, so I think ultimately WCW made a good decision overall. No idea how Tony would have done, assuming he even had any interest unless they threw a *beep* of money at him to do it.

JR, it probably would have been pretty old school in a lot of regards, though depending on who he might have stuck into the role of a booker, or whose counsel he'd have received, the product could have varied wildly.

WCW would have died around 1994-5 time under Jim Ross as he wasn't anything like the salesman Bischoff was and his ideas were rather dated, let's not forget that JR was a guy who thought Dr. Death Steve Williams was the future of wrestling in 1998. I don't believe JR knew how to deal with TV people and sell his ideas the way Bischoff could, it's why Bischoff was promoted over him in the first place. Bischoff's ability to sell his vision helped to keep WCW alive when Turner execs were talking about pulling the plug in the early 90s, he even managed to secure more money and a better TV slot.

Schiavone seemed to have a level head and could have surprised us all, but I like to think of him eventually going mad with power. From that day on, he starts dressing like Triple H in one of his more elaborate entrances, demanding that a big ass throne to sit on during booking meetings and that High Voltage carry him to the commentary booth in a sedan chair.

Well, there's the obvious answer that Nitro would have never happened, and thus, no Monday Night Wars and possibly no Attitude Era as a result.
