I dunno, that's like saying Sting DID work for the WWE once, even though it was just a technicality paycheck for the last night of Nitro. Other than the occasional Vince promos and very end of the show, I think Vince let the final Nitro go to the say of Flair and the wrestlers, they decided for themselves what kind of show they wanted to give the fans. To me, Booker was the final true-WCW Champ, despite just being for one night. He earned it.

Well it was WWE's idea to put the strap on Booker T as Steiner needed surgery and was going to be out for a while. See your point though.

I think maybe Steiner sat out his AOL Time Warner contract like all the others who debuted in the WWE after the Invasion.
