WCW's Mishandling Of The Hitman

Anyone else think it was a crying shame that they never came up with any decent storylines for the best there is, best there was, and best there ever will be?

No doubt Bret could have been used better but people exagerate about how bad Bret was misused. He piled up some big victories and had some decent title reigns with all the major titles. Even the Undertaker has been in some of WWEs most embarrasing storylines yet hes the WWE franchise.

WWE has taken extremly talented and charasmatic guys and buried them as jobbers: Mike Awesome, Taz, Justin Credible, Dusty Rhodes, Raven, Shane Douglas, and many others some of those were main evnters but people love focusing on the same 5 guys that didnt give a quicker mainevent push in WCW : Beniot, Eddie, Jericho and Bret to get the WWE off the hook for doing the exact same thing if not worse.

But to answer your question I wish that he was in better angles but at least WCW didnt job him out and make him look weak. Bret was just in the wrong locker room at the wrong time where the backstage politics of the likes of Hogan came into play. Hogans been ducking Bret for years.

After the Savage vs Bret feud at Slamboree, I feel like they really dropped the ball. For a while, they had Bret, Anvil and Davey Boy. it's too bad they couldn't have become a stable in WCW. Also, at the loss of Owen, I think Bret really had a loss of intrest in wrestling for a while. I was live at the Owen Hart tribute, and at first, it took a while for fans to react during the match because they felt for Bret.
At times, I really wish that Owen could have been released from his contract from the WWF. He could have been huge in WCW.

Good runs with Flair, Savage, Luger, Sting, Goldberg and finally his World title victory at Mayhem '99. It wasn't all bad.

yes,

But I would say that about 95% of WCW talent from mid '98 onwards.
