This film is horrible

I wasted 2 hours of my life on this poorly made film. I have moral qualms with some of Almadovar's films such as Talk to Her and Tie Me Up, Tie Me Down, but I still thought they were good films. I have moral qualms with this movie too, but that's not the determining factor why I disliked the movie. The movie is it just plain horrible. It tries too hard to appeal to the emotions. It's like watching a soap opera. It also too predictable. I don't know why people give so much praise to this film.

God, get over yourself 'i have moral qualms with this movie'

yeah, so, why did you watch it if you know that Almadovar is a bit risque?

I don't think the film was trying to appeal to the emotions as you put it. I don't think it was trying to appeal to anything. I mean, think about it. Like *beep* all atcually happened in the film, but it was a good one because of the way it was made, and what the story was dealing with. And how the hell was it predictable? Did you know that she would go and find the actress that her son wanted to get an autograph from? Did you know she was going to meet a nun that carries her ex husbands baby? Did you know that her baby wasn't going to have HIV?

You can't just say a film is a load of crap. even if there was sucky bits there still were bits that were good.

Predictable? Almodovar deliberately throws us off with false starts throughout. From the opening scene suggesting a hospital drama, to Esteban's narration. The plot doesn't really come full circle until near the end. There's very little predictable about it. Also, how many soap operas involve pregnant nuns with AIDS or a woman whose female best friend has a penis?
