The Music of this movie is amazing

I cannot put my thumb on it, but for some reason I found the music to be one of the best that I have ever heard in a movie. I enjoyed the story and the performances, but I felt very drawn to the music in particular.

I did not see any other post headings about this, so what were everyone else's impressions of the music?

i agree completely, i find the title song "tajabone" really haunting.
in my ignorance of world music i assumed this was a modern spanish song, so i was surprised to find out its a deeply religous song from senegal concerning islamic charity!

check out "talk to her" by the same director, some great music there too.
