However New Day are stale as champs, Charlotte is stale as champ, why does creative insist on keeping the belts on them? Anderson and Gallows are supposed to be this monster tag team, book them like it. Sasha is supposed to be "The Boss" book her like it.

I've always thought that "Clash of the Champions" sounded like champions should be fighting champions, like "Clash of the Titans" was Titans vs Titans. So what would make the most sense is that as long as the shows are two different brands, the each brand's respective champions should be facing each other. So if that was how the PPV was this weekend, here is how the the main matches of the card would have looked:
Rusev (U.S champion) vs the Miz (IC champion)
Tag team champions match:
New Day vs Heath Slater and Rhyno
Kevin Owens (Universal Champion) vs AJ Styles (WWE Champion)
I don't know if they would do anything with TJ Perkins (cruiserweight champion). Maybe put him against a Smackdown lowcarder. Anyway this kind of card would make sense with the concept that the brands are competing against each other.

Charlotte is the best female worker right now. She draws great heat and carries herself as a champion with that heel swag, plus her promos are good. Sasha just had the belt and while it's unfortunate she had to relinquish it due to a short-term injury, she's been a little overexposed lately (as much as I'm a fan of her, it seems like she's constantly in line for a title shot). Bayley is too new on the main roster, Nia Jax is working her way up, and Dana Brooke is way too green still. The Smackdown women's division has more diversity on that front.

There isn't really anybody from NXT to call up other than Asuka but she's still the champ, you know it's bad when they have Bayley facing a jobber...that whole episode of Raw was just bad aside from the cruiserweight matches
