Why not give Apollo Crews a cocky jock gimmick....

Have him maybe wear a letterman jacket and give him an Ocho Cinco type swag to him. He can one-up the other cocky gimmicks and actually walk around backstage with his entrance theme playing in the background (or have a band follow him around in the backstage playing his entrance theme). Only time the entrance theme halts is when he takes off his sunglasses or does pushups or maybe tell a joke.

"Kids are so evil! Why do we keep making them??"

so a louder version of 2010 jack swagger ?

Sounds like a loose ripoff of MVP

And didn't Miz do a big fiasco removing his shades (at the start of his matches)? Plus, letterman jackets are a curse in WWE (Chris Nowinski, Alex Riley, the Steiner Bros. were barely in the promotion a full year).

Better yet, why not have Apollo square-off against good wrestlers. Sucks Shelton Benjamin got injured.

They should give Crews a Colin Kaepernick-ish, America-hating gimmick.

Where he was given every advantage in life, but still spits in the face of our brave soldiers and police officers. He could grow out an Afro and facial hair like Colin did, or start wearing a kufi.

It would get great heel heat in most of the country, and babyface reactions in more liberal places like L.A., Philly, and NYC.

I could see the crowd signs. "Hey Apollo, GO BACK TO AFRICA". ROH is incorporating this by having The Cabinet kneel-down from doing the Code Of Honor (handshake). Pro wrestling should steer clear from this.

Scott if you have a problem with this, take it up at the Colin Kaepernick forum. This isn't 1996 or 2005 anymore. Racial militant gimmicks are done with the dinosaur.

The message you're sending with that idea is "blacks and Muslims are bad". Now you're one of low level of racists on this forum like Cezar (Cheezar Loves Chachi), jcworks, Rebuild_Reclaim, robocop-37224, Bragis. You're setting pro wrestling back 40+ years.

So a black person or faction acting heelish means they are sending the message blacks and muslims are bad?

Well, good thing there have never been black heels in pro wrestling. I mean just imagine the cognitive dissonance from seeing a black individual or faction acting badly. People might get the idea the african american populace is made up of individuals and not a hive mind, and that would be racist as hell!

'I don't make deals with someone pointing a gun at me.'

It's like Gavin and Rebuild_Reclaim rolled into one shitty package.

It's different when you're touching on actual issues, rather than a black wrestler being just another bad-guy. Come on, Ore.
It's like Gavin and Rebuild_Reclaim rolled into one *beep* package.
Gavin is just a stupid fatheaded sell-out.
