Is Finn Bálor the new Undertaker?

Having won the Universal Championship, Bálor is now officially a major player in WWE. But there's a problem: with his "Irish monster" gimmick, he is too much of a clone of terrifying characters like Undertaker or Sting. Sting is gone, of course; but I don't think Undertaker and Bálor can coexist, even on a limited basis.

Meanwhile, Undertaker has clearly had it. He's been slowing down for over half a decade now and has lost at WRESTLEMANIA. Now that he's in his mid-fifties, I think it's time for him to retire after a final (victorious this time) match with Brock Lesnar at WRESTLEMANIA XXXIII. Finn Bálor can then fully assume his role as WWE's "supernatural" Superstar.

And what would you do with the Demon King? Well, when was Undertaker at the height of his career? Answer: as a heel, of course! He was at his peak as a character when he led his Ministry of Darkness, with its cabal of Satanists and vampires. Why not turn Bálor heel and assemble a similar pagan army?

I think it's meant to be a toss up between Balor and Wyatt. But Wyatt's booking hasn't been the strongest. Ever.

No. Demon King is more like a serious version of the Boogeyman.

Not at all. Bray Wyatt is the obvious modern day counterpart of the Undertaker. I think it will be more clear once he turns babyface.

Plenty of short people have been vicious bastards, in this case it's wrestling so it can be whatever they want it to be.

(laughing) Jesus Christ I hope you're kidding! No one will ever do what the Undertaker did. And the only who came close enough was Kane but, WWE ruined that when they took his mask off and turned him into a pussy.

I think he might be in a way unless Braun Strowman picks up and becomes a main eventer. They have had a lot of chances to do it with Bray and turn him face like they did with the Undertaker but they just keep having him say the same things all the time and lose matches. Even if he beats Randy at No Mercy which I think he will so there is another match at Survivor Series it will only be with the help of Erik Rowan and the returning Luke Harper.

lol Not even close. There will never be another Undertaker, and a guy as small as Balor will never have that same kind of threatening presence about him.
