Weren't there 5 members of the Spirit Squad?
Where were the other 2 guys?
Still trapped in the shipping crate it seems
shareCan you imagine that maybe two guys found something better to do over the last few decades than to return as a third rate tag team.
They are so scraping the bottom of the barrel bringing back wrestlers from the past. I guess easier than somehow creating new characters from scratch.
I think you're overreacting a little. They brought back members of the Spirit Squad as a way for Miz to mock Dolph Ziggler in his feud, not because they're desperate. For the most part, any older wrestlers that come back only wrestle part time and usually just to put over the new talent. You're imagining things if you really think they're not creating new characters and only relying on old wrestlers like the Spirit Squad. I mean, my God, 90% of the roster is from NXT and the indies and most of the champions are mid 30s or younger, with the exception of AJ Styles who I'm sure we can make an exception for, and Rhyno because the Slater/Rhyno storyline is popular with fans.
shareDon't see how it's scraping the bottom of the barrel. It's for storyline purposes and actually alludes to Ziggler's past (and a way for Miz to get some heat)
shareMikey (Mike Mondo) has put on some weight since his ROH days. If Jim Cornette was running things any longer over there, Mikey would have probably been a singles champ. Kevin Owens said Mikey was the only one who would obey and not disagree with Cornette while in Ring Of Honor.
I remember people were predicting Kenny Doane (aka Dykstra) to be the next Randy Orton (his finisher was even called the "RKDoane").
I won't be surprised if Cornette goes into a big rant on his podcast saying that WWE dropped the ball with all of them (excluding Dolph)
