WWE buying TNA video library?

I've said this from the start, WWE will make a push when they want the video content.

Just another day at the office for old Harry.

reply

it would be foolish for them not to buy the content. just for aj styles contributions alone.

reply

Styles, Joe, Roode.

Not only that but for their veteran performers like Rob Van Dam, Booker T, Kurt Angle.

reply

Lots of Sting too, right?

Just another day at the office for old Harry.

reply

Depending on the price, I agree with you. It's not worth breaking the bank for.

reply

Dixie telling people that she is not selling to WWE. Sounds like she wants to go down with the ship.

reply

Shame she let her ego destroy her company.

reply

Well it's what happens when you try to take a toy away from a child, lol. But she also probably still thinks she's capable of fixing TNA.

reply

TJ Perkins was in TNA too.

reply

Hulk Hogan
Ric Flair
Kevin Nash
Scott Hall
The Hardy Boyz
The Dudley Boyz
Xavier Woods

I hope they make the deal because TNA isn't doing anything with their library. There's never gonna be a TNA Network. Even though TNA has mostly sucked, all the hard work by everyone - especially Sting - deserves to be seen.

We agree. Cool.

reply

LOL, let me get this straight, Sting was beer belly and balding and out of shape in TNA, but HULK HOGAN is in fit enough shape to have a match in 2017?!

I'm cracking up so hard at the disparity in your thoughts. Omg, LOL

^ I suppose that's all well and dandy, right?

I really want to know how you can look at that picture and tell me that Sting is the one who is beer bellied, balding, and out of shape. I honestly want to know how you can think that. Please tell me.

You have no real answer. That's what I thought.

Conversation over. I win. See you next time.

reply

Hogan looks great.. Yes, he's in his 60's, bald on top. .. But dude looks pretty damn good for his age.

I'd pay to see him go one more time..

reply

Hopefully they burn all the claire lynch stuff. That was the worst point in aj styles career. Cringe worthy tv every week.

I doubt they will buy it. There have been rampant rumours going around about TNA going broke and WWE buying over the past 5 years and every time somebody or a site says it is going to close down TNA continue another year and another year and another year and if anybody buys TNA it will be Jeff Jarrett who will merge it with GFW.

Jeff Jarrett has actually said in interviews if TNA goes broke he would buy it.

Dude don't even compare TNA to WCW. There was a time when that company was the biggest promotion in the world and it going out of business permanently hurt the wrestling business. TNA has been on life support from its very beginning.

Hell if it wasn't for Dixie Carter having a rich daddy and thinking she is a business person, it would have closed over a decade ago.

I agree with that but they have no reason to continue yet another brand, what with NXT, Raw and Smackdown all treated as separate companies now. Hell Raw and Smackdown are even running their separate House Shows now.

If they acquire TNA, and don't count them out because they have been "dead" countless times now, they will just absorb the roster and the library and incorporate them into what they already have going.

There is still Ring of Honor. If you want to get technical, ROH is already the secondary company. They have national TV and are owned by a juggernaut like Sinclair Broadcasting. TNA is owned by like four private investors and is aired on the TV Guide Channel.

I agree. But TNA is such a toxic brand now. With the exception of Matt and Jeff Hardy doing a Troma Movie level, B-movie silly goof right now that whole company is a bad joke. That and so many people owning parts of it who are at war. Its dead.

I have to agree with him. Even though TNA has gone downhill in recent times it was the closest wrestling company to having the same success as WCW did and was second only to WWE in its earlier years. ROH was never broadcast around the world like TNA was so it never had the same success outside America that TNA had and in 2012 when Bobby Roode was champion TNA was one of the most watched shows on the Fuel Channel in Australia and Impact Wrestling actually beat Raw and Smackdown in ratings more than 4 times and it experienced a very similar boost in ratings in the UK. This was the main reason Bobby Roode, AJ Styles and Austin Aries all came out to Australia to promote TNA at the time and Bobby said on radio it was something that had never been done since WCW. TNA had the chance to become bigger and were on the right track but they blew it by not having James Storm defeat Bobby Roode when he returned and doing the Aces & Eights storyline.

After Aces & Eights the ratings dropped every week.
