I hadn't seen this movie this since its opening weekend in 2000, so got the DVD from my library. It says that it has been edited for content. Does anybody know what specifically was edited? I was thinking perhaps the dog scene because of the animal rights activists. I'm obviously not going to remember after 11 years.

According to the Trivia section on this film's IMDB listing, Alan Ladd's family complained about the way his suicide was referenced during James's recitation of movie stars who killed themselves. So they removed the offending portion from the film and added the content notice.
