my favorite character in this film was Michael Cassio. I just wanted to ask you if he lived or died in this movie?
IMO i like to believe he survived. I seen people get hurt worse than he did on this film and still live through. Also, he didn't look that badly hurt i mean not really. Not what the filmmakers intended i think but as far as i'm concerned Michael survived the ordeal here.

There have been a couple of posts about this question and everyone seems to have a different opinion, but since:
a) This movie stuck extremely closely to Othello, in which Cassio definitely survives,
b) Michael, unlike the others, isn't given an explicitly fatal injury, and
c) Michael's survival adds to the sense of chaos in the end, in that Hugo's plan backfires in nearly every possible way,
it's been my assumption that Michael survives.
That has always been my opinion from the start. plus the fact that they were patching up his leg wound at the end and the stretcher right next to him (IMO this indicates he may have survived)
Brandy states he is dead (but of course she was hysterical and so she had no way of actually knowing.
